Are you looking to take an active role in delivering a large scale wind farm project? As a Construction Intern - Foundations, you will support the team responsible for building wind turbine foundations throughout every phase of the project. You will work closely with engineers, the superintendent, the coordinator, and site crews to gain a solid understanding of the technical, logistical, and operational realities of a wind energy project.
This internship will give you full exposure to:
Specialized foundation techniques for wind turbine structures
Complex rebar installation and mass concrete placement
Construction site management and multidisciplinary coordination
Health, safety, and environmental best practices
Related activities such as civil works, the collector system, and turbine installation
This is a full time, on site role. We operate multiple construction sites across Québec, which requires a high level of geographic mobility and availability to work on rotation depending on project needs. To support mobility, individuals living more than 120 km from the site will be assigned on site and may receive benefits in accordance with company policies.
• Active participation in project management
• Supporting field engineers and the management team (daily inspections, updating tracking tools, ensuring safety documentation compliance)
• Inspecting work and performing quality control (slabs, anchor cages, formwork, and pre pour preparations)
• Monitoring production and performance, including tracking quantities (steel, concrete, aggregates)
• Coordinating subcontractors
• Preparing and communicating technical information
This role could be for you if you have
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering
• Completion of at least one previous internship
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Fluency in French (spoken and written) and intermediate English proficiency to interact with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, partners, and colleagues across the country
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and possession of the ASP Construction card
• High geographic mobility; the selected intern must be available full time on site
• Versatile, rigorous, and eager to be actively involved on a construction site
