The intern will gain meaningful exposure to corporate transactional work, litigation support, and regulatory compliance, all within an industry at the intersection of environmental law, energy, and technology.

This position is open to law students at any stage of their legal education (1L, 2L, or 3L; rising law school entrants).

  • Help organize and manage litigation files, discovery materials, and case timelines
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on active matters as needed

Compliance and Regulatory

  • Support preparation of compliance reports, regulatory filings, and internal policy documentation
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting the environmental services industry

General Legal Support

  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries on a variety of topics
  • Assist with corporate governance matters and maintain corporate records
  • Support the Legal Department on special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Interest in environmental law, regulatory compliance, or corporate law is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal research platforms (Westlaw, LexisNexis) preferred

What You Will Gain

  • Direct exposure to in-house legal practice at a growing national company
  • Experience across multiple legal disciplines, including transactional, litigation, and regulatory work
  • Mentorship from seasoned legal professionals
  • A front-row seat to the environmental services industry and its evolving regulatory landscape

This position is based in Louisville, Kentucky. Hybrid arrangements may be considered depending on law school schedule. Part-time or summer full-time schedules are available. This is a non-exempt role at $18/hr.
