JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
JOB DESCRIPTION
Greystar's Corporate Accounting Internship provides students with hands-on experience supporting accounting and financial reporting activities within a global real estate organization. Interns will work alongside members of the Corporate Accounting team to gain exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, budgeting, and other accounting processes while developing a practical understanding of how accounting supports Greystar's business.
As a Corporate Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Support the preparation and analysis of financial information, financial statements, and accounting reports.
  • Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
  • Review financial data, invoices, expenses, and other accounting documentation for accuracy and help research discrepancies.
  • Support monthly accounting and financial reporting processes.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and other cash-related accounting activities.
  • Help prepare financial reports, schedules, and analyses for internal teams and management.
  • Gain exposure to accounting processes related to Greystar's real estate investments, development activities, and corporate operations.
  • Partner with accounting team members and other departments to gather information and support ongoing projects.
  • Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives throughout the internship.

What We're Looking For
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Interest in accounting, financial reporting, and the real estate industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to organize work, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively.
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute as part of a collaborative team
  • Graduating between December 2027 and May 2028

The Greystar Summer Internship Program packs 10 weeks with real projects, real responsibility, and real connections. You'll dive straight into the action on a team like Investment, Finance, Marketing, IT, Data, Leasing, Development, or Operations - doing work that actually moves the needle, not just watching from the sidelines.
Along the way, you'll get a front-row seat to the rest of the business too, through:
• Executive Speaker Series - hear directly from the people leading the industry
• Business Segment Overviews - get the full picture of how each part of Greystar works
• Mentor Relationships - build connections that go beyond the summer
• Site Visits - see the work happening in the field, up close
• Community Outreach - give back alongside your team
• Networking Opportunities - meet people across the company
You'll close out the summer by presenting your Final Capstone Project, your chance to show off what you built, what you learned, and the impact you made.
  • Program dates: June 2, 2027 - August 6, 2027
  • The compensation for this position is $26.75/hour

Additional Compensation:

Benefits Offered for Temporary Team Members*:
