Job Description
I. General Summary
Under direct supervision, provides administrative support to various functional areas within the Human Resources Department.
II. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.
  • Provides administrative support for HR projects as requested. Processes confidential reports; researches and gathers data; prepares and maintains records.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements.
  • Gain exposure to various HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and policy development.

Qualifications
III. Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • A junior, senior, or graduate student, majoring in human resources, organizational development, business, or related field.

IV. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated experience with being detail oriented, highly organized, and excellent follow up skills are required.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and listening skills are required to work effectively with various levels of employees and management staff.
  • Highly effective communication skills are necessary to work with all levels of management, various personnel within the Medical Center, as well as the external community.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must exhibit a flexible work attitude and demonstrate the ability to work productively and independently in a team environment, with the ability to respond rapidly to changes, yet remain focused on the priorities.

Ability to learn and implement tasks quickly, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
