Overview

We are seeking an Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Ultra Motorsports in Fort Wayne, IN. In this role, you'll be working on and diagnosing automotive issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently after returning to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics on automotive systems, using tools to identify issues accurately.
  • Conduct service maintenance on various automotive issues including oil changes, fluids, tire changes/rotations, wheel alignments, etc.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mechanical repair techniques to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Work with Shop Supervisor to ensure necessary auto supplies and inventory are in stock, or to be ordered.
  • Maintain detailed records of services performed on each vehicles worked on.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles meet safety standards before returning to customers.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience working in the automotive repair industry.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic software for accurate troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety standards.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.
