Position Summary

The Compliance & Government Property Intern assists with compliance, government property management, reporting, and process improvement activities while gaining familiarity with applicable company and government requirements.

Domestic travel may be required.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with with data entry, transfer and disposition processes, identifying discrepancies or areas of concern, and supporting corrective actions
  • Support audits, inspections, data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives related to compliance and government property requirements
  • Interact with various departments of the organization to support compliance objectives and ensure accurate accountability of government property
  • Other duties may be assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally stand or walk; use hands and arms to grasp, reach and type; stoop or kneel; and speak or hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The position is primarily performed in a quiet, climate-controlled environment with minimal exposure to moving equipment, elements, or risk of injury. When entering the shipyard, there may be exposure to moving equipment, elements, or risk of injury.
