Job Summary:
B/CORE is a company focused on delivering impactful IT solutions for government missions. They are seeking a SME Network Engineer to build tailored technical solutions and support customer missions, particularly in the realm of network engineering and cyber security.
Responsibilities:
• Experience and expertise working with commercial cloud service providers (eg. Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) building out VPCs with Linux VMs, configuring them as network appliances (eg. Linux as a router) and locking them down to meet cyber security standards.
• Experience configuring and hardening Linux OS in both cloud and physical environments.
• Experience configuring and hardening network gear to include firewalls, switches, routers, IPS, etc.
• Experience and expertise working with commercial VPNs.
• Experience working with commercial messaging applications (CMA) and Android tablet devices.
• Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues after hours and on weekends, ie. Call in support.
• Experience and expertise deploying CNGA internet network infrastructure with a thorough understanding of the customers mission.
• Working knowledge and expertise using the customer’s core appliances and services to include their networks.
• Working knowledge and experience with the customer’s core networks.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of 16 years' experience in Network Engineering.
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degrees in relevant disciplines.
• Experience and expertise working with commercial cloud service providers (eg. Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) building out VPCs with Linux VMs, configuring them as network appliances (eg. Linux as a router) and locking them down to meet cyber security standards.
• Experience configuring and hardening Linux OS in both cloud and physical environments.
• Experience configuring and hardening network gear to include firewalls, switches, routers, IPS, etc.
• Experience and expertise working with commercial VPNs.
• Experience working with commercial messaging applications (CMA) and Android tablet devices.
