Job description

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, operation, and maintenance of all facility infrastructure across a 1.1 million sq. ft. manufacturing and distribution site. This role ensures reliable facility performance, supports 24/7 operations, coordinates contractor services, and oversees emergency response readiness. The position ensures a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace that supports all business operations. This role also coordinates and manages maintenance needs for facility tenants.

What you’ll do as a Facility Manager:

• Oversee operation and maintenance of utilities and building systems.

• Manage building envelope integrity including roofing, drainage, and structure.

• Ensure indoor environmental conditions meet ASHRAE standards.

• Lead facility capital planning, budgeting, RFQs, POs, and project execution.

• Implement operational improvements and utility cost-reduction initiatives.

• Oversee maintenance, inspection, and reliability of fire suppression systems.

• Provide rapid facilities response and support across 24/7 operational needs.

• Manage service-level performance of grounds and janitorial contractors.

• Monitor contract deliverables, staffing levels, and service quality.

• Develop scopes of work, evaluate performance, and approve invoices.

• Lead or support emergency response for utility outages, alarms, equipment failures, and severe weather.


We’re looking for a Facility Manager with:

  • 5 + years applicable experience in facilities management / manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of building engineering principles, including but not limited to equipment controls, mechanical and electrical systems
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and safe workplace practices.
  • Experience with facilities management software, or experience using other tools / technology to capture data, and report findings.
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple teams

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
  • Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
  • Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
  • This Facility Manager position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow facility
