Job description

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for a Front-End Web Developer to work with a highly collaborative team to develop our public-facing website. As a developer, you will play an integral role in the specification, design, build, test, and support of our website for SEL. We work on a variety of projects to support our customers as well as Sales and Marketing at SEL

A typical day might include the following:

  • Participate in the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of website components and features.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Recommend and implement processes following industry best practices for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software
  • Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and systems experts to solve complex problems
  • Collaborate with designers to extend their designs to be dynamic; build and extend components in our custom design system
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, innovation, and excellence

This job might be for you if:

  • You have a B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • You have 3+ years of web development experience
  • You have knowledge and experience in web supporting technologies and web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • You can learn quickly and assume new responsibilities
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • You enjoy solving complex problems by providing simple solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Web development experience with some of the following technologies: React, TypeScript, Next.js

Pay Range Data

Associate Software Engineer, $84,200 - $124,500 per year. Software Engineer, $97,700.00 - $144,400.00 per year. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
