Job Summary

The Software Engineer IV – Front-End will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions with a strong focus on modern front-end application development.

This role will work closely with software engineers, product teams, controls engineers, and other technical teams to develop scalable, intuitive, and reliable applications supporting complex intralogistics and warehouse automation systems.

The Software Engineer IV will also contribute to technical design decisions, help improve existing application architecture, mentor other software engineers, and participate in initiatives that modernize and improve the company's software platforms.

Responsibilities Front-End Development
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain modern web-based applications.
  • Develop responsive, scalable, and maintainable user interfaces using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Develop applications using modern reactive frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular, React, or similar technologies.
  • Build reusable UI components and establish consistent front-end development practices.
  • Apply modern front-end development principles including component-based design, state management, asynchronous programming, and responsive design.
  • Develop intuitive user interfaces for warehouse operators, customers, and internal users.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, usability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex front-end and application issues.
Technical Design & Application Improvements
  • Participate in the design and implementation of software solutions and application enhancements.
  • Contribute to architectural and technical design discussions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, maintainability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in modernization efforts involving legacy applications and technologies.
  • Evaluate new frameworks, libraries, tools, and technologies as appropriate.

Back-End & Integration
  • Develop and integrate services using C#, .NET, and .NET Core.
  • Develop and consume RESTful Web APIs and other service-based integrations.
  • Work with Microsoft SQL Server, Entity Framework, and LINQ.
  • Understand and contribute to client/server application architectures.
  • Troubleshoot issues across front-end applications, APIs, services, databases, and system integrations.
  • Collaborate on integrations with warehouse automation, controls, robotics, and other material-handling systems.
Software Development Lifecycle
  • Participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Perform coding, debugging, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Develop and maintain automated and manual tests.
  • Identify and resolve software defects and production issues.
  • Follow established software development methodologies and coding standards.
  • Participate in source control, CI/CD, code reviews, release management, and defect tracking.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience developing modern web-based applications.
  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience with Vue.js, Angular, React, or another modern reactive JavaScript framework.
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS, AJAX, REST APIs, and responsive web development.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and software design principles.
  • Experience contributing to software architecture and technical design decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
