KLXS III Artemis – Web App and SharePoint Developer

Join our team at the Kennedy Space Center supporting NASA’s Artemis Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Program via the KLXS III contract. Under this contract, ARES and its partners provide engineering and technical services, program and business management support services and administrative support services to the EGS Program. 

Position Summary: Onsite development and maintenance of various web applications and/or SharePoint Online sites.

Job Description

Web App Developer Functional Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications end-to-end, from the Microsoft SQL Server database, through Entity Framework and .NET/C# APIs, to Angular + PrimeNG front ends.
  • Design and implement relational data models in MSSQL, using Entity Framework (migrations, relationships, LINQ) to manage schema evolution and data access.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs in .NET/C#, including authentication/authorization, input validation, and error handling.
  • Develop responsive, accessible UI components with Angular and PrimeNG, including data grids, reactive forms, and interactive views, with attention to usability and consistent UX.
  • Translate functional and technical requirements into working software; refine and break down requirements into actionable development tasks tracked in GitHub Issues and Projects.
  • Debug and resolve defects across the full stack (UI, API, EF, and database layers), including data-integrity and performance issues.
  • Manage source control and configuration using GitHub, including feature branching, pull requests, code review, and tagged releases.
  • Write and maintain unit tests using built-in .NET and Angular testing frameworks.
  • Perform database administration tasks, including schema management, stored procedures, query tuning, and data troubleshooting.
  • Support software classification activities and maintain related engineering documentation.
  • Create and maintain user, technical, and release documentation for delivered software.
  • Conduct user training and deliver stakeholder demonstrations during design, readiness reviews, and system checks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, systems engineers, and management to validate requirements and support project milestones.

Required skills and competencies include: 

  • Ability to develop detailed plans and work to a schedule.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships. 
  • High attention to detail and demonstrated follow-through on products. 
  • Experience delivering web apps end-to-end across database, API, and front-end layers.
  • Ability to design relational database architecture and perform data analysis.
  • Ability to translate general concepts and requirements into detailed technical designs.
  • Experience with Git-based workflows: feature branching, pull requests, and code review.
  • Ability to write and maintain automated unit tests.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proficiency with C# and the .NET framework/.NET Core for back-end and API development.
  • Entity Framework: data modeling, migrations, relationships, and LINQ queries.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including relational schema design, stored procedures, query optimization, and problem resolution.
  • Proficiency with Angular, including components, services, routing, and reactive forms.
  • Experience building UIs with the PrimeNG component library.
  • Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Familiarity with SharePoint On-Prem & Online
  • Familiarity with PowerApps: Power Automate, Power FX Code, Power BI Report Building
  • SharePoint On-Prem: Nintex Forms, Nintex Workflows, SSRS Report Building

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred, or a BS in a different field with appropriate work experience.
