Job Summary
The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate percussion specialist to work with one or more of the district's high schools Marching Band and/or Winter Percussion programs. Throughout the production, the coach will work alongside the credentialed teacher at District High School, supporting students of varying skill levels. This role includes rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance support at one or more school sites, contributing to a high-quality production for a diverse student body.

Comments and Other Information
Key Tasks/Duties:
• Participate as an integral member of the production design team
• Design and/or teach music designed for the show to the percussion members
• Design and/or teach exercises specific to the percussion members
• Coordinate staff responsibilities with other instructors
• Assist the director with communicating program information to the Percussion members
• Attend rehearsals and performances as scheduled with the director
• Stay advised as to the director's goals and agendas as to the timelines/deadlines for materials to be produced and/or learned by the students
• Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment
