We have an exciting opportunity for a CMSS Software Engineer to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. If selected you will: Support a team responsible for the software components of existing exercise equipment and new equipment such as a heart rate monitor used on future spacecraft missions.Counter Measures Systems Software Engineer will help NASA with the health of astronauts in the reduced gravity environments of the ISS and Gateway spacecrafts:Demonstrate strong skills in developing software applications, adapting software/firmware for use with robotic devices, and Graphical User Interface development. Experience with developing systems, formulas, or methods that help track or maintain human health, especially during spaceflight will be valuable to potential candidates.An interest in human technology development is important.Potential development projects include sensorimotor training tools for microgravity applications, software application development, firmware development, and modeling/simulation of humans in conjunction with health countermeasure systems.Generate and maintain software for these human spaceflight scenarios. Review software products and artifacts for completeness of design and implementation. Perform system integration and testing as well as coordinate testing and verification duties.Perform other duties as required.Qualifications: This position has been posted at multiple levels.
