2027 Summer Internship - Global Wealth Management, Growth Markets, US
Positions are located in New York, NY.
Global Wealth Management (GWM)'s mission is to create industry leading experiences for financial intermediaries and their individual investor clients while providing a strong contribution to PIMCO's overall business results. PIMCO GWM is responsible for business strategy and client coverage for financial intermediaries and their advisors. Coverage includes RIAs, Wirehouses, family offices, banks/trusts, independent broker dealers, platforms, and sub-advisory relationships.
You're eligible to apply if you:
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Must be able to begin full time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2028 - August 2028
  • Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester ( August 2027 - December 2027 )
  • Have a minimum 3.5 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Are business proficient in English

You'll excel as a Global Wealth Management Account Analyst if you:
  • Show strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance
  • Have the ability to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in fixed income markets, investment products, and business strategy, with curiosity for product innovation and evolving client needs
  • Possess the ability to develop client relationships into strategic partnerships and interest in client facing career within Finance

  • The Growth Markets group focuses on accelerating growth across product lines with unique technology, service, and operational needs beyond our core mutual fund franchise. The group is responsible for leading business strategy, innovation, and growth initiatives across SMAs, ETFs, Models, Insurance Solutions, and Blockchain/Tokenization. The summer analyst intern will contribute to the team through supporting the group's key strategic initiatives.

What to expect during the interview process:
  • After we receive your application, we will conduct an initial review of your resume
  • If you are selected to move forward, you will take a cognitive assessment and have the opportunity to showcase your interests, skills, and personality by completing a one-way video interview
  • Once you complete the assessment and one-way video interview, you will have a final round of live interviews via video conference. These interviews typically include both behavioral and technical questions

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
