What You'll Do

  • Install Systems: Safely install residential (CPVC/plastic) and commercial (steel) fire sprinkler systems.
  • Read Plans: Interpret blueprints, construction plans, and layouts accurately.
  • Build & Troubleshoot: Install, modify, and troubleshoot fire sprinkler piping networks according to NFPA 13, 13R, and 13D standards.
  • Own the Jobsite: Work independently while maintaining high productivity and clean craftsmanship.
  • Communicate: Represent Symons professionally when talking with builders, inspectors, and jobsite superintendents.

Compensation

  • $25.00 – $45.00 per hour (Dependent on experience)

What You'll Need (Job Requirements)

  • Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on fire sprinkler installation experience with a proven ability to read blueprints.
  • Credentials:
    • A current, valid California Certified Fire Sprinkler Fitter Card.
    • A current BlazeMaster Installation Training Card.
    • A current OSHA 10 Card (or willingness to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment).
  • Core Skills: Strong communication skills (must be able to read, write, and speak English for jobsite safety instructions), reliable attendance, and basic familiarity using mobile devices for field tracking.
  • Driving: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record (needed to operate company vehicles).
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds; stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the workday; safely operate hand and power tools; and distinguish colors for accurate system component identification.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working on active residential and commercial construction sites, which includes exposure to outdoor weather, loud noise levels, working at heights/ladders, and moving mechanical equipment.
