The Senior Systems Analyst - EPIC Cache is one of the Information Technology department’s primary support analysts responsible for the general operations of the EPIC Iris/Cache’ database platform for St.

Lukes University Health Network. Responsibilities include incident management break/fix through general operations, such as performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning, cyber security protection/compliance and disaster recovery/business continuance as well as any/all remediations, associated support, upgrades, and development work. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides Tier-2 operational oversight of the EPIC Iris/Cache’ platform, documents, advises and reports on performance to support high quality operational performance results Completes work assignments efficiently, keeping administrative maintenance records according to IT department standard practices for operational support services, projects, and demand initiatives Oversees capacity planning exercises and coordinates updates as it pertains to respective installation, configuration and security protection work for all associated EPIC Cache’ systems and subsystems Consults/advises IT leadership, business sponsors, stake holders, vendor partners and infrastructure engineering teams on associated database maintenance programs, operational issues, and solution management.

Interprets, guides, and advises on performance reports, trends and problems, recommendations for remediation and optimization actions Evaluates proposed upgrades and impact with new application, platform systems and subsystems, documents, presents and reviews options with associated leadership decisions Monitors, utilizes SYSTEM PULSE Key performance indicators and dashboards for monitoring, studies analytics, designs, documents, plans, and executes performance improvement programs Collaborates, coordinates with other EPIC team members on project goals and deadlines providing expert level planning for implementations and operational support of EPIC Iris/Cache/RHEL platform systems and subsystems Produces high quality results utilizing respective and associated utilities and programs to automate system maintenance processes Creates, leads, and participates in workshops and stewardship training programs for IT staff members with shared service responsibilities PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; standing for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; walking for up to 2 hours a day, 1 hour at a time. Requires crouching, kneeling, and lifting of objects weighing up to 60 pounds, pushing objects weighing up to 80 pounds. Requires hand and finger dexterity to perform repairs of small equipment and to use computer equipment.

EDUCATION: Associate and/or bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, telecommunications healthcare, or other related discipline preferred. Business School, Military or Technical institute Vocational Training preferred. High School Diploma/GED required.

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: 5-8 years of experience in a hospital healthcare environment. 8-15 years analyst support of the EPIC Iris/Cache Database. Please complete your application using your full legal name and current home address.
