Job description

Department:Public Works Department

Organizational Unit:Engineering Inspection

Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time

Open Until Filled.

$3,306.82 to $3,637.50 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs professional engineering work planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting and/or implementing assigned projects.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related degree with coursework relating to the area of assignment. Engineering Intern/Engineer in Training certification is desired. (Engineering Intern/Engineer in Training is a person who has graduated from an engineering curriculum approved by the Board of Professional Engineers and who has passed the fundamentals of the engineering examination as provided by the rules adopted by that Board.) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
