About the Hiring Team

Lightspeed Tech Center is an R&D department under Lightspeed Studios which develops PUBG Mobile and other highโ€‘quality games. Our Tech Center leads the research, exploration, and discovery of innovative technologies and provides technical services for all games during all phases of the life cycle, including engine, audio, QA, AI, nextโ€‘generation game, and technical cooperation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on cuttingโ€‘edge projects at the intersection of mechanical design, hardware development, and embedded systems. You will contribute to the design, prototyping, and testing of innovative mechanical and electromechanical systems. This role is ideal for a Master's level student or recent graduate eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software and rapid prototyping techniques.
  • Assist in the assembly, integration, and testing of mechanical hardware with embedded systems and electronic components.
  • Build and iterate on physical prototypes using 3D printing, machining, and other fabrication methods.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of test plans to validate system performance and reliability.
  • Work with embedded systems and use C++ for system control, data acquisition, or interfacing with mechanical hardware.
  • Operate within a Linux development environment for specific project tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and test reports.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineers (mechanical, electrical, software) to achieve project goals.

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

Pay Range

The expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $69,305.60 to $120,000.14 per year. Actual pay may vary depending on jobโ€‘related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Benefits

This position will be eligible for 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked and up to 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Fullโ€‘time interns are also eligible to enroll in the Companyโ€‘sponsored medical plan subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect.
