As the Company continues to expand aggressively both domestically and internationally with increasing project size, scope and complexity, there is a need to hire an Electrical Engineer 4 for the Critical Infrastructure Solutions (CIS) Business Unit.
The Electrical Engineer 4 will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the areas of Engineering & Design related to Electrical and Critical Power Systems, along with other diverse system components contained within a variety of facilities. The Candidate will be expected to perform site survey, engineering design, and construction support.
Responsibilities
  • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects
  • Represent the Company in interactions with the customers, contractors, suppliers and collaborate with other project team members
  • Perform site survey, calculations, evaluations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout for project proposal and contract execution
  • Develop sustainable designs for high performance systems for air and hydronic distribution, central heating and cooling plants and building management
  • Pushing, pulling or lifting equipment or supplies routinely encountered in an office environment
  • At times, required to access work areas that are accessible only by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladders or stairs that are under construction.
  • Must have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard, including significant fine finger dexterity
  • Maintaining effective audio-visual abilities and perception needed for: making observations, reading and writing, communicating with others, operating assigned equipment according to safety standards
  • Focusing on complex tasks for extended periods of time
  • Address any electrical design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning issues
  • Develop system sequence of operations, compliance matrices and other project support documentation
  • General knowledge in participate in Pre-Installation Testing and Checkout (PITCO) processes including system programming, integration testing, and equipment build outs.
  • Develop electrical project scope, schedule, budget, and discipline coordination
  • Participate in and ensure successful project construction, start up and commissioning as needed.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert and perform quality control review of project documentation
  • Participate in new product evaluations and recommendations
  • Domestic and international travels on short-term assignments depending on project requirements.

Qualifications
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience with a Masters Degree in Engineering or higher.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Strong application knowledge of ASHRAE Handbook and Standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Design experience with governmental sites, data centers, and building infrastructure.
  • Excellent knowledge in short circuit studies, knowledge of software like SKM, ETAP and Easy power, familiarity with coordination studies and general protection schemes for LV and MV transformers, generators, motors.
  • Full familiarity and proficiency with CAD software, like AutoCAD and Revit
