Job Title: Network Engineer, Mobile Core Network Services Location: Bellevue, Washington 98004 Onsite/Remote: Onsite (5 days/week) (Local Candidates) Previous Cisco Experience Required: Needs to be extremely well-versed in all things Cisco / Cisco products Position Overview/Role Summary: Client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support testing, deployment, upgrades, and operational optimization within a mobile core networking environment. This role will focus on validating network solutions, supporting production implementations, consulting on network design, and providing technical expertise during large-scale network initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with mobile core technologies, network testing methodologies, and production network support. Responsibilities: Provide technical guidance and advisory support for network enhancements, infrastructure upgrades, and architecture improvements. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand testing objectives, technical requirements, and business goals. Develop, execute, and document network test plans and communicate results through professional reporting. Support the design, implementation, and validation of laboratory environments, feature enhancements, and infrastructure upgrades. Create migration documentation and support activities associated with transitioning solutions from laboratory environments into production. Provide technical insight during escalation activities and collaborate with support organizations to accelerate service restoration. Consult on network architecture with emphasis on resiliency, scalability, performance, and service quality. Review and assess proposed network changes for risk, impact, and implementation readiness. Support major deployment events and assist with troubleshooting hardware and configuration issues. Share technical knowledge through documentation, informal training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities. Participate in recurring customer meetings, service reviews, and operational planning discussions. Contribute to operational reporting, risk assessments, and future planning activities. Required Qualifications: Experience supporting mobile core network environments, including packet core technologies. Strong understanding of 5G networking concepts and call flow analysis. Experience developing and executing structured network testing plans. Ability to create technical documentation, including test reports, implementation plans, migration guides, and operational reports. Experience supporting production network deployments and infrastructure upgrade activities. Knowledge of network design principles including resiliency, scalability, fault recovery, and Quality of Service. Experience evaluating implementation procedures and conducting change impact assessments. Strong troubleshooting skills for network hardware, software, and configuration issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work onsite during standard business hours (8 AM - 5 PM) Ability to participate in after-hours deployment activities and respond to critical incidents when required. Preferred: Experience working within large enterprise or service provider network environments. Experience supporting laboratory to production migration initiatives. Previous experience delivering technical workshops, training sessions, or knowledge transfer activities. Industry certifications related to networking or telecommunications. Experience participating in customer-facing technical reviews and operational governance meetings.
