Job description

Job Overview:
Tactacam is seeking a Product Tester to support the research, design, and quality assurance of new and existing products. In this role, you will assist in testing mechanical, electrical, and firmware components and systems, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. You will also contribute to the evaluation of previous designs to help improve future developments.

The ideal candidate has experience testing consumer electronics, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product testing at all stages of development, from proof of concept to production.
  • Develop, write, and execute test plans to evaluate product functionality and performance.
  • Analyze prototypes and finished products for quality, durability, and usability (V&V testing).
  • Review existing product designs and provide feedback for enhancements and revisions.
  • Provide technical support to cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Work closely with engineering, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality.
  • Document and communicate testing results to stakeholders in a clear and structured manner.
  • Assist in risk assessments, failure mode analysis (FMEA), and quality assurance activities.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, materials, and testing methodologies to improve testing processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 3-5 years of experience in consumer electronics testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Primarily a sedentary role, requiring sitting for extended periods, with occasional walking and standing as needed.
