Geotab is seeking a Total Rewards Intern who will support with benefits and wellness inquiries, compensation processes, and general administrative tasks, including responding to questions, running reports, and assisting with various programs and events. What you'll do:

As a Total Rewards Intern your key area of responsibility will be performing administrative tasks such as managing the benefit and retirement portals, responding to benefits, retirement, and compensation inquiries, and distributing compensation letters. You will need to work closely with the Benefits and wider Total Rewards team.

  • 8+ month work-term beginning January 2027.
  • Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday,ย 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact:

Benefits and Wellness (60%)

  • Respond to benefits inquiries from talent and acquisition team, on-boarding team, HRBPs, managers, and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, retirement savings plans, and Geotab Perks and Programs.
  • Send out the enrollment eligibility emails to employees for benefits and retirement plans.
  • Run New Hire/Termination weekly reports via HR information system.
  • Verifying the status of over-age age dependent children for benefits eligibility according to plan provisions.
  • Upload employee leave letters into their Dayforce profile and update leave of absence tracker.
  • Perform employee information audit and run reports and update employee info, such as salary, title, and address change in provider portals.
  • Prepare Wellness Wednesday posts to staff in Google Social Chat space.
  • Update Google Mental Health and Wellness site with employee mental, physical and financial well-being and available resources.
  • Assist with coordinating onsite benefits and wellness events and campaigns as needed.
  • Assist with benefits ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Compensation (30%)

  • Respond to internal queries sent to our compensation team.
  • Identify process improvements and ensure processes are adhered to for all Total Rewards related programs (EOY, Incentive Pay Programs, Recognition Programs).
  • Provide administrative support for all Total Reward related programs (letters, email correspondence, training coordination, lists, reports, Dayforce entries).
  • Assist with data integrity and audit of employee comp data in Dayforce.
  • Coordinate ad hoc payments with Payroll and send employee communications.

General Administration (10%)

  • Provide support with general administrative functions as required.
  • Assist with ad hoc programs as required.
  • Respond to general internal inquiries as it relates to Total Rewards.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Currently pursuing a post-secondary program in Human Resources Management, Business, or other relevant degree.
  • Prior administrative experience, particularly in a Human Resources setting, is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks effectively and work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) is considered an asset.
  • Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.
