Job description

About Delta Intelligent Building Technologies (Canada) Inc. (formerly known as Delta Controls)

Delta Intelligent Building Technologies (Canada) Inc. is a leading building controls manufacturer. For over three decades, we have provided innovative building automation solutions for commercial, healthcare, education, and leisure facilities.

Job Summary

We are looking for an automation-first Software QA Intermediate to ensure the reliability and quality of enteliWEB, Delta IBTs facility and energy management software for centralized building operations. This is not a manual QA role - the focus is on building and maintaining automated test systems using programming, test architecture, and CI/CD integration to validate UI workflows, APIs, services, data workflows, integrations, alarms, dashboards, reporting, and building-management features.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks across UI, APIs, services, data workflows, integrations, and end-to-end building-management scenarios.
  • Embed automated validation into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast, reliable quality signals for development, deployment, and release decisions.
  • Develop automation-first test strategies that reduce repetitive manual validation and improve confidence in frequent product releases.
  • Validate enteliWEB workflows such as dashboards, alarms, audit logs, energy data, reporting, user roles, configuration, and multi-site facility operations through reliable, maintainable automation.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, architects, and QA team members to define testable requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality gates.
  • Build and improve test utilities, test data, mocks, fixtures, environments, simulators, and diagnostics to make automated testing scalable and debuggable.
  • Investigate test failures, identify product defects versus test instability, and continuously improve automation reliability and coverage.
  • Promote engineering practices that make enteliWEB more testable, observable, resilient, and continuously verified.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in QA or Software Development
  • Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Java, Go, or similar languages.
  • Experience building and maintaining automated tests for web, SaaS, enterprise, cloud-connected, or distributed applications.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, API and integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, and test data management.
  • Ability to design reliable, maintainable, and debuggable automation solutions with an automation-first mindset.
  • Working knowledge of web application testing, deployment environments, feature flags, observability tools, release pipelines, and troubleshooting practices.
  • Experience validating data-intensive workflows, including dashboards, reports, alarms, logs, analytics, events, and time-series data.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across applications, test automation, data, infrastructure, integrations, and environments.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and testability.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with building automation systems, BACnet, IoT, smart buildings, energy management, facility operations, industrial automation, or operational technology (OT).
