Description
Summary:
This position is in the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavioral Sciences. The position is a full-time (9-month) non-tenure-track position in the Department of English and Modern Languages.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate courses in Spanish.
  • Participate in the activities of the department, college, and university including recruitment and new course development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):
  • Master's degree in Spanish, Spanish Education, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing, and listening)
  • At least one (1) year to three (3) years of teaching experience at the college level - Spanish courses.
  • Must have evidence of excellence in teaching.
  • Experience in teaching elementary and intermediate language courses.
  • It is highly desirable that candidates be familiar with innovative teaching techniques and best practices in pedagogy.
