Android Software Engineer
New York, NY | 6+ Months Contract-to-Hire
We are seeking an Android Software Engineer with 2-5 years of experience building and shipping production Android applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, modern Android architecture, and mobile application development best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of hands-on Android development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow/StateFlow, and Android SDK.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose (preferred) and/or XML-based UI development.
  • Solid understanding of MVI/MVVM architecture, dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger), and REST API integration.
  • Experience with Room, DataStore, WorkManager, Navigation, and application lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks, CI/CD practices, code reviews, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with multi-module architecture and Gradle build optimization.
  • Understanding of mobile security, observability, analytics, and crash reporting.
