The Marketing & Revenue Operations team is a dynamic, driven, fast-paced and highly engaged group. Together, the team is responsible for delivering best-in-class brand marketing, customer marketing, product marketing, pricing, revenue forecasting, sales targeting, and business intelligence & analytics capabilities to the overall TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods business. We are the focal point for driving the business' organic growth strategy and work closely with cross functional partners across our sales, product, finance, technology, and engineering teams.

In this exciting new role, you will lead the team responsible for developing and implementing standardized sales forecasting, program interlock, targeting and territory planning. You will be responsible for ensuring we are optimizing our bookings target approaches across the business and maximizing our revenue and profit potential. In addition to the broader marketing team, you will work cross-functionally with finance, sales, operations, and product management to develop the pricing plans and measure the outcomes. You will also lead a team responsible for their individual areas of maintaining a tight relationship and funnel awareness with the agriculture and consumer goods sales teams as well as target and territory planning and interlock. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SAAS based business planning, forecasting, be data driven to develop bottom up and top down management views and be able to effectively communicate strategies and maintain interlock with stakeholders.

Here's how:
  • Develop forecasts for software products and services across worldwide geographies and all customer segments
  • Own the single source of truth for the TAC regarding the market sizing, targets and forecasting for all segments, regions and products within the business unit
  • Partner with market research and product marketing teams to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences
  • Analyze performance data and metrics to identify opportunities for forecast optimization and revenue and margin growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and finance teams to align targets and forecasts with strategies with business objectives
  • Lead analysis and forecast modeling to determine accurate forecast methodologies and mitigate risks by surfacing opportunities and maintaining interlock across the business
  • Monitor and evaluate performance, making recommendations for adjustments as needed
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact TAC
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
  • Manage team responsible for ensuring tight interlock with current funnel and dealflow, customer programs, industry trends, territory assignments, targets and business goals
  • Present strategies and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Partner with sales, operations and data analytics teams to ensure an interlocked view of the current state and future forecast
  • Lead interlock and governance process for TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods, bringing together cross-functional teams to evaluate deals, assess probabilities and assist sales teams on deal structuring and strategies
Qualifications

What you bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in forecasting strategy, preferably in the software industry and/or agriculture, consumer goods, or telecommunications
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights
  • Familiarity in SAP, S/4 HANA is an asset and SFDC skills are required
  • Proficiency in forecast analysis tools, software and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate pricing strategies to stakeholders
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Knowledge of software industry trends, competitive landscape, and pricing best practices
