Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to join our growing Architectural Department. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting interior design projects from concept through construction across a variety of markets, including higher education, healthcare, civic and municipal. This role involves developing interior design concepts, selecting finishes and furniture, producing construction documentation, and assisting in presentation development. Strong graphic, organizational, and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Primary Functions
• Develop and communicate design concepts and interior space planning.
• Conduct material and product research for interior applications.
• Translate design intent into construction documents and specifications.
• Select and specify furniture, finishes, and fixtures.
• Prepare finish boards, renderings, and other presentation materials.
• Coordinate with clients and vendors throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with project architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Stay current with market trends, design innovations, and product offerings.
Desired Skills/Experience
• 7+ years of experience in an architecture/engineering (AE) firm or similar setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited program.
• Prior experience in healthcare is highly desirable.
• NCIDQ certification or on track to obtain certification.
• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with rendering software such as Enscape is a plus.
• Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage and execute interior design scope through all project phases.
Desired Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from an accredited university.
