Keeley Construction is looking to hire an Interior Designer to join our Building Group in St. Louis, MO.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create interior design concepts using common and essential design and documentation tools. 
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to arrive at the best interior design solutions for the client, within the practical constraints of budget, schedule, and quality. 
  • Develop the 2d and 3d images and media necessary to convey interior design concepts and then present them to the client. 
  • Specify finishes and furniture with a real-world understanding of their associated installation and maintenance. 
  • Familiarity with LEED concepts and process, and other similar sustainability ratings systems.  
  • Coordinate with other design and construction professionals to ensure proposed concepts can be practically executed. 
  • Review submittals and shop drawings during construction. 
  • Visit sites under construction to help ensure expectations and standards are being met. 
  • Participate in industry conventions and fundraising events. 
  • Communicate with local product and manufacturer representatives to understand and facilitate growing yours and the team's knowledge and awareness of interior design, materials, and systems.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their wants and needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design from an accredited program is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a design firm is preferred.
  • Must have an appreciation for design-build process, embracing the understanding of construction and maintenance practicalities as a necessary complement to interior design.
  • Knowledge of commercial interior design process and materials, as well as the codes and standards influencing it.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong graphic and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • NCIDQ certification (or on path to) is preferred.
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis in furtherance of project and client relationship development.
