Description:

JAG Interiors is a woman-owned and operated commercial interior design firm specializing in multi-family, affordable housing, and senior living communities. We partner with developers and builders to deliver thoughtful, high-impact interiors that balance creativity, functionality, and budget discipline.

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to lead and support commercial interior design projects from concept through installation. This role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a strong foundation in technical production, FF&E sourcing, and project coordination.

This position is a full-time exempt role. Compensation is $85,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assigned commercial interior design projects from schematic design through construction documentation and installation
  • Develop and present design concepts, finish palettes, mood imagery, and client-facing materials
  • Independently produce complete drawing sets, including furniture plans, elevations, and detailing from schematic phase through CD sets
  • Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines within assigned workload
  • Serve as a client contact for designated projects and participate in client presentations
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers
  • Oversee FF&E selection, furniture sourcing, specifications, and documentation
  • Collaborate with purchasing on purchase orders, lead times, and delivery coordination
  • Maintain accurate project tracking and documentation in Houzz Pro or similar systems
  • Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to team collaboration
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 4–7+ years of commercial interior design experience (multifamily or senior living preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to produce full drawing sets independently from schematic design through construction documentation
  • Strong experience with furniture sourcing, FF&E selection, and specification development
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required
  • Working knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements
  • Experience with construction documentation and coordination
  • Strong presentation and graphic communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Photoshop preferred
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
