Job description

RealFood Hospitality, Strategy and Design (RFHSD) is excited to be adding another Foodservice Designer to our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their well-developed design skill set and has a deep understanding of REVIT-based design. The ideal person will have design experience within the hospitality and foodservice industry. Our close-knit and dedicated team works out of the Troon Northeast Regional Office in Newton, MA. Our culture is one of teamwork, commitment to excellence and a strong work-life balance built upon a flexible office model. RFHSD is a national hospitality strategy and design firm with clients from all segments of the hospitality industry that span the US and even the globe.

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000, based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete detailed technical drawings in the REVIT platform to meet our established foodservice design standards
  • Deliver the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure our drawings are the foundation for a successful project
  • Support Design Project Managers as design lead on within established timelines
  • Support Design Project Managers in client communications and relationship management
  • Take initiative to drive assigned task work to completion
  • Communicate proactively with your coworkers
  • Work independently as well as on a team, under communicated deadlines with the ability and autonomy to manage your schedule
  • Maintain drawing sets, as required, as projects progress, making necessary revisions and sk’s as required
  • Collaborate on systems and process improvements for Design Development
  • Uphold RFHSD standards, processes, and procedures as they relate to the design department
  • Actively participate in the advancement of RFHSD team culture with clients and co-workers, and make suggestions on improvements if needed
  • Gain proficiency in communicating RFHSD company mission, vision and values and be an ambassador for our brand
  • Support the RFHSD sales process through your technical expertise, as beneficial and requested
  • Gain proficiency in Salesforce use as a tool to manage project pipeline, BD and sales

Ideal Candidate Qualities: 

  • Minimum 3-5 years in a drafting or foodservice designer role with proficiency in Revit and a relevant drafting portfolio
  • Experience in commercial kitchen design
  • Architectural degree is preferred
  • High-level attention to detail
  • A commitment to excellence, both personally and in the work you produce
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and pivot quickly between projects, conversations, and tasks
  • A strong desire to make an immediate impact as well as to make a lasting impression on the company
  • Someone who thrives under the highest expectations, communicated deadlines, can self-motivate/manage, and take responsibility and accountability seriously
  • Experience in hospitality is a plus, and hospitality mindset a must
  • Experience working professionally with a diverse range of people, internally and externally
  • Microsoft Workspace knowledge a plus
