The role at a glance:
NBBJ's Boston studio is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join its highly collaborative team. In this role, designers will have the opportunity to contribute to projects across a diverse range of sectors, including regional academic medical centers, health sciences, corporate/commercial, and higher education. The position offers strong potential for professional growth within the firm, along with exposure to an innovative and creative environment.
In your new role, you will:
  • Lead the interior design work of projects in pursuit of design excellence
  • Lead high-energy, collaborative team and projects
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to team members
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Develop and implement overall design concepts and finish palettes through all phases of design

What you will need to succeed:
  • 8-10 years of professional experience in Interior Design
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or Architecture degree
  • Proven client leadership
  • Strong conceptual design and schematic design skills
  • Strong verbal and graphic communication skills
  • Revit capability
  • Revit/Enscape rendering skills a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Rhino and/or 3DS Max
  • Develop and implement overall design concepts through all phases of design
  • Depth of experience with selecting, and specifying materials and finishes
  • Creation of presentation decks and materials
  • Experience with furniture selection and specification
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, open environment
  • Desire to help drive innovative design solutions

This role requires the individual to be based in the United States.
The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $85,000 and $95,000. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
