FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary
The Associate Interior Designer supports Senior Designers in planning, designing, and furnishing residential interior spaces. This position begins as an associateโ€‘level role working under a Senior Interior Designer, with the goal of progressing to Interior Designer within 1โ€“2 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in pulling selections, creating design concepts and mood boards.
  • Assists in preparing detailed drawings, design plans, 3D renderings and presentation schemes.
  • Supports the development of interior concepts aligned with client goals and architectural direction.
  • Creates, processes, and tracks sales and purchase orders for client selections, including payment processing, credit authorizations, and order followup.
  • Attends client meetings to assist Senior Designers by capturing notes, documenting action items, and supporting project needs.
  • Maintains the showroom floor, catalogs, price lists, and product information; updates inventory databases, including special orders.
  • Participates in staff meetings to discuss new projects, procedures, and crosstraining opportunities, often with vendor collaboration.
  • Assists sales associates with daily showroom operations as needed.
Required Skills:
  • Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of 20/20 is a plus.
  • Supports the selection and development of interior finishes, specification packages, color palettes, and finish boards.
  • Possesses working knowledge of interior design principles, architectural concepts, construction documents, and detailing.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Thrives in a fastpaced, creative environment and meets deadlines consistently.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • 0โ€“2 years of experience
