General summary

The Senior Interior Designer will embody a deep passion for design, art, and aesthetics in every aspect of their being. They shall possess strong project leadership skills, including the ability to provide guidance and development to associate team members.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively coordinate the internal design team for assigned projects.
  • Undertake design preparation, which includes space planning, overall layout, architectural considerations, furniture selections, fixture choices, and equipment decisions.
  • Develop junior designers by providing guidance and support in their professional growth.
  • Oversee the creation of visual presentations.
  • Managing, researching, sourcing, and pricing items such as furniture, fabrics, accessories, finishes, lighting, etc.
  • Maintain and monitor project budget and profitability.
  • Exhibit strong project leadership, ensuring seamless service delivery to clients and maintaining exceptional communication throughout the project duration.
  • Apply strategic thinking to projects, proactively identifying and communicating potential risks, while also presenting innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Efficiently close projects by providing support to the project team in resolving any issues and swiftly wrapping up all project-related tasks.
  • Accurate and timely record keeping on projects.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to use AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Studio, Microsoft Office, and Monday.com.
  • Confident with practicing Elements and Principles of design and phases.
  • Practice and implement design phases.
  • Understand and visualize 3D spaces.
  • Exceptional graphic presentation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and drive for results, often working independently.
  • Capacity for multiple projects/ activities with a commitment to deadlines by prioritizing tasks and following up.
