Position Overview
AgeWave Solutions is seeking a highly detailed and technically proficient CAD Drafter to join our in-office team in Middleton, Florida. This role is ideal for an organized and motivated drafting professional who enjoys producing accurate construction drawings, collaborating with architects and designers, and contributing to meaningful architectural and development projects.
The CAD Drafter will work closely with project managers, architects, interior designers, consultants, and engineering teams to develop precise technical drawings and construction documentation for a variety of architectural projects.
This role requires strong AutoCAD proficiency, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Technical Documentation
  • Produce detailed architectural drafting and construction documentation using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, details, site plans, and permit drawings.
  • Assist in developing complete construction document packages for commercial, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and community-focused projects.
  • Maintain drafting standards, layering systems, title blocks, and drawing organization.
  • Revise drawings based on redlines, markups, consultant coordination, and internal design reviews.
  • Convert conceptual sketches and design layouts into accurate technical drawings.
  • Coordinate drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil consultants.
  • Assist with as-built documentation and field verification updates.

Project Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project managers throughout all project phases.
  • Participate in internal production meetings and coordination sessions.
  • Help maintain project schedules and support timely drawing deliverables.
  • Coordinate permit and jurisdictional drawing requirements.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with applicable building codes, ADA standards, and project specifications.

Quality Control
  • Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Maintain organized project files and revision tracking.
  • Assist with internal quality assurance procedures before project submissions.
  • Ensure construction documents meet company drafting standards and client expectations.

Office & Team Collaboration
  • Work in a collaborative office environment with direct interaction among team members.

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional CAD drafting experience in architecture, construction, engineering, or related industries.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
  • Understanding of building construction methods and technical detailing.
  • Knowledge of drafting standards and construction documentation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field.
