While both roles enhance interior spaces, Design Build involves technical planning and coordination with contractors, whereas Decorators primarily work on visual styling.

Do interior design build professionals do construction?

Interior design build professionals, often called design-build contractors, typically handle both the design and construction phases of a project. They coordinate with contractors, manage construction work, and ensure the design is executed properly, often using project management tools and construction knowledge. However, some interior designers may collaborate with separate contractors for construction tasks.

Building a career in interior design build involves gaining relevant education such as a degree or certification in interior design or construction, developing skills in project management, design software, and construction processes, and gaining experience through internships or entry-level positions.
