Job description

Our busy construction company is seeking an organized construction administrative assistant to support our office with clerical and administrative tasks. You’ll help our Project Manager communicate with vendors and clients, obtain bids and make payments to subcontractors, and place change orders.


The ideal candidate will have great computer, communication, and time management skills. Previous experience in the industry is helpful, but not required. If you are looking for a great opportunity in administrative support, we’d love to talk with you!

Compensation:

$35,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Execute clerical and general office duties such as setting up filing systems, data entry, typing, copying, ordering office supplies, and other administrative tasks for special projects as requested
  • Field incoming emails and phone calls in a professional manner
  • Coordinate meeting logistics and deliverables such as handouts, and make travel arrangements for the project management team
  • Communicate with vendors and subcontractors as a point of contact to solicit new jobs
  • Produce forms such as purchase orders, service agreements, change orders, and subcontracts
  • Provide administration support to the Project Manager

Qualifications:
  • An understanding of the construction industry is preferred, but not required
  • 3 years of experience of administrative experience is needed - previous administrative duties in a busy construction office is ideal
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a bonus - high school diploma is required
  • Superb organization and communication skills, as well as great time management, are essential
  • Proficient in computer skills, especially Google Workspaces
  • Understanding of how to use QuickBooks
