Bike Park Designer

As our company continues to grow, we are expanding our design team and are currently seeking a Bike Park Designer who is collaborative, detail-oriented, creative, and passionate about outdoor recreation design.

Position Overview

The Bike Park Designer will lead and support projects through conceptual design and design development, collaborating closely with clients, internal teams, and community stakeholders to bring projects from vision to reality. This role combines creative design thinking with practical site planning, grading awareness, budgeting, and client communication.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and has a passion for action sports, trail systems, bike parks, and public recreation infrastructure.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through Conceptual Design and Design Development phases, coordinating handoff to Construction Documents and Project Management teams.
  • Travel to project sites to meet with clients, collect site data, and better understand site opportunities and constraints.
  • Collaborate with municipalities, government agencies, community groups, consultants, and internal project teams throughout the design process.
  • Develop creative, functional, and visually compelling conceptual layouts using CAD software.
  • Evaluate grading, drainage, and other civil design considerations during early planning phases.
  • Utilize GIS data and mapping tools to support trail and bike park design.
  • Assist with budgeting, cost estimating, and project feasibility during multiple phases of design.
  • Create graphic plans, renderings, and precedent imagery to communicate project concepts effectively.
  • Manage weekly tasks and project timelines to maintain schedules and deliverables.
  • Continuously observe and integrate industry best practices into daily workflows and project execution.
