Job Summary
As a Retail Layout Designer, you will be tasked with development and implementation of Center Store Merchandising plans & layouts for New stores, Remodeled stores, Department Expansions & special projects. This role collaborates with Aetos Store Planners, Macro Space Planning Team, Micro Space Planning Team, Merchandising Teams, Vendors, and Store Reset teams.
Job Description
  • Experience Required: 2 to 5 years commercial design experience mapping out large-scale retail environments or grocery footprints;
  • Experience Required: Traffic flow strategy and department adjacencies, maximizing product visibility
  • Education Desired: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Graphic Design
  • Travel Required: Regional Daily, More than 50%
  • Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds

Job Responsibilities
  • Design store layouts to optimally allocate space across various merchandising departments in accordance with sales opportunity, customer experience, operational consideration, and merchandising guidance
  • Review baseline layouts and verify existing store conditions for accuracy.
  • Collaborate on shelving coordination and fixture requirements to ensure accurate ordering and placement.
  • Incorporate merchandising standards, operational requirements and sales initiatives into store layouts.
  • Work closely with Aetos CAD operators to ensure accuracy of store plans.
  • Prepare Red Line drawings and update layouts based on field feedback.
  • Maintain, organize, and update store layouts using Blue Yonder database.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with Category Managers & LOBs to ensure company strategies are implemented.
  • Maintain knowledge of POGs to help define merchandising requirements for design of center store layouts.
  • Participate in store walks and post-reset reviews to verify execution
  • Assist Field Teams by answering questions and resolving implementation issues.
  • Support multiple projects while meeting established timelines
