Job description

Overview
BlueWater Federal is looking for a Joint Interface Control Officer to support United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at MacDill AFB.
As a JICO, you will operate various C2 systems and Tactical Data Links using situational awareness synchronization tools and software applications such as Agile Client, Maven Smart System, MCS COP, and/or other systems, to manage the USSOCOM Data Link Architecture.
Responsibilities
  • Execute and manage joint and coalition Tactical Data Link (TDL) operations in accordance with approved OPLANs, CONPLANs, EXORDs, and Air Tasking Orders (ATOs).
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain Link-16 and other assigned TDL architectures, ensuring correct network design, time slot allocation, participation groups, and track management.
  • Continuously monitor network performance, identify anomalies or interference, and implement corrective actions to preserve situational awareness, track quality, and data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with CJCSM 6231 series, MIL-STD-6016/6017, and applicable theater interface control directives.
  • Coordinate and synchronize TDL participation across air, land, maritime, space, SOF, and missile defense platforms to enable a common operational picture.
  • Manage the technical integration of sensors, shooters, command and control nodes, and gateways within the assigned data-link architecture.
  • Support multi-domain operations by ensuring timely and accurate exchange of tactical information between U.S., joint, interagency, and coalition partners.
  • Implement interface control measures that support joint and combined operations, while adhering to information assurance and releasability constraints.
  • Provide real-time technical and operational support to commanders, watchstanders, operators, and support personnel during planning, execution, and assessment phases of operations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for tactical data link employment, troubleshooting, and best practices within the operational environment.
  • Advise units on proper TDL configuration, procedures, and corrective actions to mitigate data conflicts, track duplication, or network degradation.
  • Support training, rehearsals, and exercises by validating data-link architectures and ensuring operator proficiency in accordance with established standards.
  • Document network performance, issues, and corrective actions to support mission assessment and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of JICO experience.
  • Strong understanding of joint all-domain operations and CJADC2 principles.
  • Must have an active Top Secret / SCI.
  • Familiarity with CJADC2 strategy with an emphasis on SOF data-centric operations, cross-domain integration, and global data sharing.
  • In-depth knowledge of TDL and Multi-TDL Architecture (MTA) physical and cyber configuration, organization, and operations, to include Link-16, Link 22, Mode 5 IFF, MADL, TTNT, C2BMC, GCCS, JRE, ADSI, Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), etc., with demonstrated application in degraded, denied, intermittent, or low-bandwidth operational environments common to SOF missions.
  • Working knowledge of TDL / Link-16 cryptographic modernization and advanced capabilities strategies and efforts as applied to SOF and partner-enabled operations.
  • Expertise in network architecture, cybersecurity, and data integration.
