Job description

The San Jose AI4BI Innovation Center focuses on translating cutting-edge artificial intelligence into tangible, high-impact business products. We are moving beyond academic research to build robust, scalable AI systems that drive corporate intelligence, operational excellence, and measurable business value.
We are seeking an AI4BI Interactive Solution Architect to serve as a pivotal technical leader within our organization. In this high-impact role, you will act as both the strategic architect of our holistic AI ecosystem and the hands-on technical lead engineering our core Agentic AI products.
Operating with the agility of an internal startup, you will tackle the "Last Mile" problem of Enterprise AI. You will design and lead the underlying hybrid-cloud architecture that connects autonomous AI agents to TSMC's enterprise data backbone. Most importantly, you are a builder and a craftsman: you will lead the hands-on development of production-grade AI-human interaction frameworks, prioritizing user experiences, and rapid iteration to create tangible business impact at a global scale.
You will join us in our San Jose office, operating on a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in-office.
Responsibilities
  • Architect Interactive AI Systems: Design and build responsive, local-first AI solutions and interactive architectures that deliver seamless, highly intuitive user experiences.
  • Agent Observability & Telemetry: Architect comprehensive observability frameworks to monitor, debug, and optimize autonomous AI agents. Ensure agents are grounded in real repository changes and system behavior, maintaining high reliability and transparency.
  • Technical Craftsmanship: Drive a culture of engineering excellence. Lead by example by writing production-ready code, maintaining rigorous architectural standards, reviewing critical system designs, and elevating the team's overall software development practices.
  • Business Value Delivery: Partner closely with AI engineers, data engineers, and business strategy teams to translate complex AI models (including advanced LLMs and causal reasoning systems) into interactive, user-facing applications that solve immediate corporate challenges.
  • Enterprise AI Blueprint & Cloud Strategy: Define the long-term technical architecture for integrating Generative AI with enterprise data warehouses and legacy systems. Guide hybrid infrastructures that balance on-premise security requirements with enterprise-grade external AI services.
  • Data Integration: Architect robust pipelines for "Data-Centric AI," ensuring structured and unstructured data are accessible via unified semantic layers to deeply ground AI agents in proprietary data.
  • Productionization, CI/CD & Governance: Harden research prototypes for enterprise deployment by establishing robust CI/CD pipelines.

Minimum Qualifications
  • M.S or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in modern software development. You must be able to write and evaluate production-grade code, design robust backend systems, and guide UI/UX logic at scale.
  • Architectural understanding of local-first AI development, agent-observability, LLMs, and modern ML deployment pipelines. Experience scaling agentic frameworks is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical blueprints. Capable of leading complex, multi-team technical projects from conceptualization to production, and communicating architectural trade-offs to senior leaderships.
  • Experience with managing large scale data within hybrid-cloud environments, integrating with platforms like Snowflake or BigQuery while maintaining strict enterprise security standards.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A strategic builder's mentality. Ability to prioritize usability, speed, and real-world results, ensuring that infrastructure decisions translate directly into tangible business value.
