Critical Care Physician

Our client in Southern Arizona is currently looking for locums Intensivist or Critical Care Physician for their immediate need.

Requirements:

  • BE or BC in Critical Care. Residency pathways: surgery, anesthesia, internal, emergency
  • Need to possess an AZ license or license is in process
  • Need to be able to complete all Critical Care procedures

Practice Details:

  • Shift Times: 7a- 7p, 7a- 5p, 7p- 7a. 24/7 in-house call coverage
  • No night call
  • Average daily census is 25
  • Locums are required to admit ED to ICU
  • Hospitalists on-site. Not specific to ICU, but available for support.
  • Co-managed ICU with HM and primary doctors serving as admitting physician. Intensivist serving as managing physician while patients are in the ICU.
  • Procedures required: Central lines, art lines, Hemodynamic monitoring (line insertion as needed), intubation, pressor management, thoracentesis, vent management, bronchoscopy, etc.
  • Excellent compensation to include added bonus for 7-day block commitments.
