What you'll do at Lewer:

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Accounting Intern, you play a key role in supporting portal payments and refunds for LewerMark students. You reconcile daily transactions to ensure accuracy between cash deposits, school summary reporting, and administration records. You prepare refund packets and maintain documentation that supports timely and compliant financial processing. You partner closely with the Enrollments team to research and resolve disputes, investigate missing student information, address refund variances, and ensure payment links are accurately applied. You work within the administration system (HTH) to upload and reconcile credit card fees, helping maintain the integrity of financial records and contributing to a positive experience for stakeholders.ย 


Your Key Areas of Impact

Operational Efficiency: You streamline daily Stripe reporting by reconciling payment activity within HTH and Power BI reporting at the student and school level. You identify discrepancies, improve reporting accuracy, and support efficient financial operations by ensuring student- and school-level transactions are reconciled and reported timely. Your work helps strengthen financial controls and provide reliable data for business decision-making.


Team Support: You collaborate with Accounting and Enrollments teams to ensure accurate and timely premium application, cash reconciliation, and financial reporting. You proactively research and resolve missing information, payment variances, and enrollment discrepancies, helping departments work efficiently while supporting a positive experience for students and school partners. Your attention to detail strengthens cross-functional collaboration and promotes confidence in financial data.


System Optimization: You play a critical role in reconciling Stripe payments, processing refunds, and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple systems. You identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance data accuracy, and strengthen reconciliation workflows. Your contributions support operational scalability, reduce risk, and help ensure the integrity of financial and payment-related activities.

You continuously expand your technical and professional skills while contributing fresh ideas, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You hold a degree or are a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field from an accredited university. You demonstrate excellent communication and analytical skills, and you approach tasks with professionalism, curiosity, and a commitment to learning. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and are comfortable navigating Adobe tools.
