Position Title: Tax Attorney
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Tax Attorney to join a highly respected firm and work directly with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, charitable foundations, and complex estates on sophisticated tax planning and wealth preservation strategies. The role offers exposure to a diverse range of matters including estate planning, asset protection, IRS representation, probate, and mergers and acquisitions, ensuring that no two days are ever the same. Working alongside experienced attorneys and CPAs, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while developing deep expertise in complex tax matters. For attorneys seeking meaningful client relationships, intellectually stimulating work, and a long-term path toward leadership and potential partnership, this role offers a rare combination of professional growth, stability, and opportunity.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 / Year DOE
Tax Attorney Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of high-net-worth clients, providing tax planning and consulting services
  • Assist clients with estate planning and asset protection strategies
  • Engage in tax return analysis, including 706's, 1040, 1041, and 1120
  • Collaborate with CPAs and support staff on client matters, ensuring comprehensive service
  • Participate in charitable foundation work and manage probate cases
  • Maintain a billable hour requirement of 1680 hours per year
  • Foster relationships with clients, offering personalized support and guidance
  • Work on mergers and acquisitions, providing legal insights and strategies

Tax Attorney Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership
  • 3+ years of tax law experience, with a focus on planning and consulting
  • Proven ability to work with the IRS and handle complex cases
  • Experience in estate planning is essential
