UCT is looking for a talented FAB Onsite Tech I to join us in Chandler, AZ!

Schedule: Every other Saturday; Sunday–Tuesday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

The Module-Based FAB Onsite Technician Level I (FOT I) is a UCT employee working onsite within the FAB at Intel in South Chandler, AZ. This role supports engineering activities and technical functions, interfacing across multiple Intel and UCT systems to ensure data quality and availability for timely issue resolution.
FOT I technicians assist with preventive maintenance (PM) support, parts handling, and documentation, while maintaining strict adherence to cleanroom protocols and operational procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing equipment/PM support in a cleanroom environment to ensure clean parts are available to perform preventive maintenance (PM) for tools. This includes, but is not limited to, breaking down tools, packaging parts, conducting leak checks, assembling kits, requesting kit/part pick-up for processing at UCT.
  • Assist Engineering by presenting data and/or findings to resolve Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) and Fails on Installs (FOIs).
  • Responsible for managing paperwork at customer site (chemical used/decontamination label) and communicating deposition details for part/kit shipments shipping to UCT.
  • Resolve non-standard problems, work with minimal supervision, and can adjust to rapidly changing priorities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Cleanroom Experience - Working in a cleanroom environment and performing necessary tasks in accordance with cleanroom protocol.
  • Process Management – Approaches work by understanding the current state, desired state, restraining and supporting forces at issue; utilizes tools and techniques that focus on the fundamental process of identification, control, and continuous improvement to address relevant workplace issues.
  • CommunicationInforming: lets people know of decisions, changes, and other relevant information on a timely basis. Listening: Demonstrates attention to and conveys understanding of the comments or questions of others. Spoken: Speaks effectively one-on-one and in groups; makes effective presentations. De-escalating: Demonstrated ability to de-escalate high stress situations.
  • Ability to work in demanding environment
  • Attention to Detail – Demonstrated ability to establish and reinforce consistency as key criteria for reliability; maintains work practice with a zero-tolerance mindset for errors.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
  • Proficiency in JMP or other statistical analysis software a plus.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • AA degree or similar.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor industry and preferably 1-year prior experience working in industry.
  • Clear communication skills in English, verbal and written.
  • Ability to understand maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work in a professional environment, follow procedures and policies.

Physical Demands:

Environmental Exposure:

  • Work in a clean room, chemical cleaning and/or other parts cleaning environments wearing a bunny suit, hood, booties, safety glasses and gloves for the duration of shift (There may be additional safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (masks, face shields, etc.).
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • The ability to talk on the phone and use a computer for extended periods may be required.
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc.

Overnight Travel:

  • Work may require out-of-town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
