We are seeking motivated candidateswith a strong interest inanalog instrumentation design, and ininterfacing varieties oftransducers and sensing systems towearable sensor constructs.Successful candidates will work withthe Hardware team at Delsys toevolve their existing sensingportfolio to capture new market spacesandto translate advancedresearch ideas into commercial products.
Delsysembraces a cross-disciplinary approach towards engineeringandis focused on developing flexible wearable constructs that fusemulti-sensing modalities, which include neural/EMG sensing, inertialsensing, force sensing, and pressure distribution technologies.Candidates must have a strong background in electrical engineering,aproven track record of solving multi-disciplinary challenges andmustexhibit a strong passion for engineering. The position willrequireexploratory activities to inform research projects, as wellasdelivering on key tasks for existing products being manufacturedand indistribution. Strong communication and documentation skillsarerequired. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated affinityforanalytical thinking, pragmatic problem-solving and hands-onunderstanding of design processes.
PrimaryResponsibilities
  • Exploreinstrumentation circuits and designs to optimize sensorperformance
  • Design and build prototypes forresearch projects and newproduct concepts.
  • Perform validation activities on new body worn sensorscurrentlyunder development.
  • Debug andresolve performance challenges in circuit designs andinmanufacturing processes
  • Help evolve and maintainsensor manufacturing systems
  • Collaborate withthe engineering and research teams at Delsysfor datagathering experiments, analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications
  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate orgraduate electricalengineering program
  • Have a strong command of electronics and electricalconcepts
  • Have an interest in all aspects ofproduct design from ideationthrough release
  • Be comfortable working with computer aided design (CAD)softwarefor circuit simulation, schematic capture, and PCBlayout.
  • Demonstrate the ability to solve problems independently
