Job description

We design and manufacture a wide range of innovative connectors as well as cable assemblies for diverse applications including server, storage, data center, mobile, RF, networking, industrial, business equipment, and automotive.


Job Title: Mechanical Integrity Manager

Job Duties:

  • Work cross-functionally to perform root cause analysis in product testing.
  • Work directly with the NPI and Development teams to ensure the product design can be built in high volume, efficiently, and with the highest of quality.
  • Oversee verification and validation testing including FEA, simulations, and physical testing to ensure quality and performance requirements are met.
  • Ensure that initial product specifications and technical documentation meats customer requirements through validation testing.
  • Work directly with internal and external suppliers on Design for Manufacture (DFM), prototyping exercises, production tooling design and qualifications, and occasional travel to manufacturing and assembly sites around the world.
  • Continuous global Spectra-Strip lab improvement to lead Bulk wire testing capabilities.
  • Lead and deliver root cause analysis and 8D planning for failures.
  • Ensure planning and delivery of design validation testing results.
  • Ensure product readiness for pilot production through validation testing.
  • Manage electrical and mechanical lab engineers to stay on task and deliver testing reports.
  • Create and support new testing protocols for customer applications.
  • Provide strategic and technical direction for continuous improvement for the R&D testing lab, testing protocols and test report processes.

Requirements: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus seven (7) years of experience in job offered or related field of Mechanical Engineering.

Special Skills or Other Requirements:

  • Seven (7) years of experience with solid modeling/CAE/CAD tools (Creo, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Three (3) years of Team leadership experience
