SUMMARY: Next Solutions is seeking motivated and reliable Drop Bury Technicians, Underground Utility Technicians, Fiber Installation Technicians, Telecommunications Construction Technicians, and Broadband Infrastructure Technicians to support residential and commercial telecommunications projects throughout the Louisville market and surrounding areas.

Technicians will be responsible for underground cable placement, broadband infrastructure support, service restoration, utility locating coordination, and drop installation activities that help connect customers to critical internet, cable, and telecommunications services.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, solving field challenges, and working independently while supporting essential infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has experience in underground utility work, telecommunications construction, cable installation, fiber deployment, landscaping restoration, or similar field-based environments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Install and bury telecommunications, broadband, and utility service lines
  • Perform residential and commercial drop installations
  • Restore landscaping and property following installation work
  • Locate and expose utility paths as needed for installation activities
  • Coordinate with utility locating services and follow established safety requirements
  • Install conduit, cable, and related telecommunications infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges in the field.
  • Maintain accurate work documentation and job completion records
  • Operate tools and equipment required to complete assigned work orders
  • Follow company safety standards and construction procedures
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship while meeting project timelines

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in telecommunications, utility construction, cable installation, fiber installation, landscaping, excavation, or related field preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned workload
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds regularly
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and field equipment safely
