Job description

We are looking for a dependable, hard-working person to join our cabinet shop team. We are willing to train the right person, so you do not have to be an experienced cabinetmaker. We are looking for someone who has a good construction background, knows how to work with tools, and wants to learn a skilled trade.


Qualifications


  • Have some previous construction, carpentry, trim, cabinet, or woodworking experience.
  • Be comfortable using common hand and power tools.
  • Be able to read and use a tape measure accurately.
  • Have good basic measurement skills.
  • Be dependable and show up ready to work.
  • Be hard-working and willing to stay productive throughout the day.
  • Be teachable and able to follow instructions.
  • Pay attention to details and take pride in doing quality work.
  • Enjoy learning new skills and improving their abilities.
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Be willing to help wherever needed in the shop.


Experience in any of the following is a plus, but is not required:

  • Cabinet building or installation
  • Finish carpentry or trim work
  • Construction or remodeling
  • Woodworking
  • Using table saws, miter saws, routers, sanders, nail guns, and other shop equipment
  • Reading plans, drawings, or cut lists
