Job description

Position Overview

  • 1099 independent contractor
  • Virtual, hybrid, or in-person (Cape Coral, FL)
  • Adult clients (18+)
  • Florida-licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) or LCSW
  • Focus: health psychology, chronic illness, and medically complex populations
  • PSYPACT: preferred, not required
  • Spanish-speaking: a plus, not required
  • Compensation: $70–$95 per individual therapy session, flat-rate (not tied to insurance payouts)

About the Role

We are seeing increasing demand from patients navigating chronic illness, chronic pain, cancer-related stress, and caregiving challenges. Many of these patients are dealing with both medical uncertainty and emotional distress, and need clinicians who can work comfortably at that intersection. We are looking to expand our clinical team with someone who is interested in this type of work and wants to build a caseload within a boutique, relationship-based practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual psychotherapy to adult clients experiencing health anxiety, adjustment to diagnosis, and ongoing medical uncertainty, as well as caregivers supporting individuals with these challenges
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation

Requirements

  • Florida-licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) or LCSW
  • Experience providing therapy services with a strong foundation in evidence-based practices
  • Experience working with patients experiencing health anxiety, adjustment to diagnosis, and ongoing medical uncertainty
  • Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

  • Enjoy a mix of face-to-face and telehealth work

Compensation

  • $70–$95 per session
  • Flat-rate model, not dependent on insurer reimbursement
  • Caseload builds gradually based on referrals and availability
  • Full control over your caseload size (e.g., 1–20+ clients based on your preference and availability)
