Bilingual Craft Training & Workforce Integration Manager

Position Summary

The Bilingual Craft Training & Workforce Integration Manager is responsible for supporting the development, onboarding, and field integration of craft workers across concrete construction operations. This role serves as a bridge between field leadership and the craft workforce, ensuring workers are trained in company programs, processes, and procedures while fostering a strong safety culture and high-quality craftsmanship.

Leveraging extensive field experience and bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish), this position delivers hands-on training, facilitates onboarding for new hires, and supports the successful integration of craft workers into project teams. The role requires extensive travel to active construction sites to ensure consistency in training, workforce development, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Craft Training & Development

• Deliver hands-on training to craft workers on concrete construction techniques, equipment use, safety practices, and company standard operating procedures.

• Train field personnel on company programs, processes, and operational standards to ensure consistency across projects.

• Support the development and implementation of craft training materials and workforce development programs.

• Mentor craft workers transitioning into leadership roles such as foremen and lead workers.

Onboarding & Workforce Integration

• Facilitate onboarding of new craft workers, ensuring they understand company expectations, safety requirements, and job responsibilities.

• Support the integration of new workers into project teams to improve retention, productivity, and team cohesion.

• Serve as a resource for new hires during their early employment period.

• Coordinate with field supervision to ensure new workers are properly oriented to site operations.

Bilingual Workforce Support

• Provide bilingual communication and instruction (English/Spanish) to ensure clear understanding of procedures, safety requirements, and job expectations.

• Assist in translating training materials, safety information, and operational guidance when necessary.

• Support effective communication between field leadership and Spanish-speaking craft workers.

Field Collaboration

• Partner with superintendents, foremen, and project leadership to assess workforce training needs.

• Identify skill gaps and recommend training solutions to improve craft performance and efficiency.

• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the craft workforce.

Travel & Site Support

• Travel extensively to active construction sites to conduct training sessions, onboarding programs, and workforce support activities.

• Ensure consistent implementation of training programs and workforce development initiatives across projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive field experience in concrete construction or heavy civil construction.

• Demonstrated leadership ability and interest in transitioning from craft work to management.

• Fluent in Spanish and English with strong verbal communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of concrete construction practices, safety standards, and field operations.

• Ability to effectively train adult learners in hands-on construction environments.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with craft workers and field leadership.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a foreman, lead craft worker, or field trainer.

• Experience delivering safety or skills training programs.

• Familiarity with workforce development, apprenticeship, or craft training programs.
